where are you?
You know when you're out shopping and you see something you really like but you're not sure if you really need it/want to spend your money on it. So you decide to think about it and come back another time, and when you come back a few days later it's gone.
This has happened to me so many times I can't keep track anymore. Most recently with this Zara clutch/wallet (above). I had already bought a few things and as I was exiting the store this little beauty caught my eye. I looked at it for a while but decided not to buy it since I knew I would stop by the store a few days later. Long story short I've searched for it in 3 stores here in Finland and another 3 while I was in Stockholm last week but can't find it. And to make it all the more frustrating it's now on sale.
Lesson to learn: With fast fashion retailers like Zara, if you see something you want GET IT! cause it won't necessarily be there next week.

battlefield
While summer is at its best, fall items are continuously arriving at net-a-porter. Favorites so far are definitely Alexander McQueen and Burberry. McQueen has plenty of military inspired clothing; neutral colors especially navy, lots of double breasted coats, tall boots etc.

forget the Céline and Chanel
This summers "it" handbag?
The fluorescent Cambridge satchels (available in orange, green, pink and yellow) have quickly become a favorite among several fashion bloggers, turning this small company into a multimillion pound phenomenon.
I've known about this company for sometime now, I think I first saw some of their bags on ASOS but it was definitely this picture (above) of beautiful Carolina Engman sporting the fluorescent yellow which made me want one in the same color.

delightful details
Here is some inspiration for the week but I highly recommend to lean away from your keyboard unless you want it to be covered in drool because these pictures are mouth-watering...

skin secrets
I've been wanting to try this foundation for awhile now, curious to see how good it actually is. The foundation I've been using for a good 5 months now has been the Clinique anti-blemish solutions. I bought it mainly because I wanted a foundation with a matte finish, I prefer to add all the dew and luster myself. I have a very bizarre skin type. It tends to be dry all over in the mornings and I need to add a whole bunch of moisturizers and primers for foundations to go on smoothly but during the day my skin is more on the slightly oily side (during the winter my skin is REALLY DRY).
I also really want to avoid the Clinique counter at Stockmanns, simply because I haven't had the best experiences there. When I wanted to get a foundation, I suggested one that I wanted to try but the lady looked once at my face and just picked up the anti-blemish one. My skin isn't even that bad. It tends to scar really easily so while my skin is completely smooth to the touch I have a few areas where I have spots which are simply acne scars. The lady said "you probably have oily skin", I said no it's actually really dry, this was in February so the winter was taking a toll on my skin, but as a response I got an "okay". I wanted to try different foundations but she kept on pushing with the anti-blemish one(I bought it because I just needed a foundation). The anti-blemish foundation is for oily to very oily skin. I live in my skin every day and I know that it's dry so clearly something doesn't add up.
Sorry about the rant I just can't stand bit*hy people like that who work in the service sector and really couldn't care less about the customers. I might stop by on Wednesday, hopefully the girls at the Chanel counter are a bit more customer friendly.

call me colorful
"The cherry on top" of a simple outfit! Can't think of anything better. Slim fit jeans, heels, slouchy white t-shirt, black blazer, bag and one of these watches = my perfect day off outfit
getting ready
While June is yet to come, well okay it's tomorrow, net-a-porter has already gotten in their first items for fall. While it's nice to have some warmer weather especially after the winter we had, I've never really been the fan of too hot summers, heat + humidity= awful. Early fall is my absolute favorite time of the year. Boots, blazers, thick wool scarves and of course my beloved Saint James pea coat <3 gosh I can't wait.
