ACNICYL REVIEW

So it has now been over 6 weeks since I started using Acnicyl and since many of you apparently are curious about it I've decided to do a complete review on it.
Keep in mind: These are my own thoughts and opinions! Everyones skin is different and what works for me might not work for you. Also it depends on how bad your acne is when you start and how consistent you are through out the treatment.
For who? I would recommend Acnicyl if your acne is mild to medium. Personally I suffer from blackheads on the nose and some whiteheads, I really don't get the big red ones that hurt really bad. You can use Acnicyl no matter what skin type you have, I have dry skin especially around the nose and just between my eyebrows (I still tend to get a bit oily during the day).
The treatment process: You are supposed to use both the cleanser and the cream for 6 weeks, in the morning and in the evening and after that whenever needed. As I already told you in my other post I did so for about a week until I switched to washing my face only in the evening. This might mean that it will take a while longer for you to see big results but if you have very sensitive skin and it starts to feel irritated I recommend to only use it once a day. According to the product description you can combine it with other products such as moisturizers BUT it should not be combined with products that have AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) or lactic acids in it.
The products: The cleanser comes in a 100 ml packaging and for the 6 week treatment I guess you will use about 2 bottles of it depending on how much you use and if you wash once or twice a day. The cleanser will remove makeup just fine and while using Acnicyl I didn't use any other makeup removers. The product is not suitable for eye makeup removing so for my eyes I just used a mild cleanser. I love the consistency of the cleanser because it's gel like which means that it's nice and refreshing, a big plus was that it wasn't oily at all and therefore not difficult to remove.
The cream comes in a 30 ml packaging. I applied it once a day and I've now been using it for more then 6 weeks and I still haven't finished my first tube which is quite surprising since I use quite a lot of it. I applied the cream on my chin, my nose, the area around my nose and to my temples. On the rest of my face I used the dramatically different moisturizing lotion by Clinique. The cream was nice and hydrating but a bit sticky which was fine since I only used it in the evening right before I went to bed.
Results/conclusion: I'm really happy with the product, best results so far out of all the acne products I've tried. I still have some things here and there and every now and then my skin seems to get worse but then it gets better again after a few days. One thing that has improved a lot is the redness, my face tends to get really red every time I wash it but now it just turns a bit pink which is a huge improvement for me. I'm going to continue using both the cleanser and the cream for a while and see how it goes. I recommend this to everyone who wants to get rid of acne and hey if it doesn't work it won't be a huge loss because the products are quite affordable.

SATC 2

Sorry for the poor posting I've been trying to study for tests all week. I recently got my tickets for Sex and the City 2, which I'm going to go and see with one of my friends during the first week of June. Also thanks to the "tracker" that I use to see why and how people are ending up at my blog I found out that a handful of you want to know about Acnicyl. So before summer vacation starts I'm going to do a review on it once and for all because the post title Acnicyl update isn't really a full review. So for those of you who have questions about Acnicyl go a head and ask and the review will be up soon.

under the sun

This is going to be a short update since I have a stack of homework I need to work through and the last test week of this year is looming around the corner. Anyways yesterday was amazing. I went to see Play Me the musical with my friend cause we need to write a review for music but that was seriously the best musical I've ever seen. The rest of the day consisted of ice cream in the park and shopping until the stores closed (we forgot that it was a Saturday and that stores close at 6 p.m instead of 9 p.m). I managed to get to basic tops from H&M and the pair of Alexander Wang inspired wedges in beige.
Now I'm going to go sit outside and enjoy the sun while trying to finish a 200 page book that doesn't make any sense.

On Wed. May 19th Monki and Weekday are finally opening a store here in Helsinki Finland. If I remember correctly it should be at Aleksanterinkatu 48. I'm super excited cause we really needed a new store. Basically we have H&M, Gina Tricot, Mango and Zara and honestly Zara is the only one I really like.

the Acnicyl update

So it's finally been 6 weeks since I started using Acnicyl and I can for once tell you that I'm pleased about an acne product. You are supposed to use it in the morning and in the evening which I was able to do for about a week or so. There wasn't anything wrong with the product like it being to harsh that resulted in me just using it in the evening, I'll admit this is an terrible excuse but I just didn't have time to do it in the morning. Well anyways I was extremely consistent about washing my face with the cleanser every evening and I really do mean EVERY, as well as using the cream. When using the cream remember that it's not a spot treatment and can therefore be applied to an area of your face such as your entire chin instead of just applying it on to the 2 pimples on it. The cleansers gel consistency was really nice. It wasn't oily in any way so it wasn't difficult to rinse off and it removed every single drop of makeup off of my face, except the eye makeup of course. In general I'm super pleased with this product and my skin has improved a lot. I still have a few small things here and there but not nearly as many as I had a few weeks ago.
On the bottle it says that after six weeks of treatment you just need to use it whenever needed. I think I'm going to start by using Acnicyl 4 times a week and the other 3 days use some other mild cleanser and then every month or two I'll reduce the number of days that I use Acnicyl until it's not needed anymore.

50 ml of heaven

Look what ended up on my dresser this afternoon. In my last post I told you how much I adored this fragrance so I decided to get it. It's 50 ml which is the same as 1.7 fl.oz and I payed about 80€ for it which is a lot I admit but hey don't judge every girl needs to smell fabulous.
Before I go I just want to tell you about a great movie I saw recently. It's the Coco Chanel tv movie with Shirley Maclaine. The younger Coco is played by Barbora Bobulova and it goes through everything from her first job to making her first hats and starting her first shop with the help of the very handsome "Boy" Capel played by Olivier Sitruk.

mon chérie

This has been one of my favorite commercials for the longest time. No matter how many times I see it it always makes me smile. I tried the Miss Dior Chérie eau de parfum a few years back but didn't like it because it was a bit to strong for my taste. Somehow I didn't realize that there were 2 more fragrances that were different but had the same name. I tried the Miss Dior Chérie l'eau and I like, just not enough to make me buy it. The one I was really excited to try was the Miss Dior Chérie eau de toilette because people seem to like that one the most. I'll tell you right away that I'm terrible at distinguishing scents and can basically just tell you if there is rose or a strong lemon scent in it. Anyways I absolutely LOVE the eau de toilette, it's strong enough so that it won't feel like you haven't applied anything after an hour yet it's subtle so that it won't give you a headache. I applied some on my wrist at about 4.30pm it's now past 7pm and it hasn't worn off at all.
According to sephora the Miss Dior Chérie eau de toilette includes notes of: Freesia, Jasmine, Orange Blossom, Popcorn, Vanilla, Caramel, Patchouli.
