16.04.2012
Hey everyone! Sorry for not posting in a week. I've been busy with work lately, actually had my first shift today at 6:00 (and that's AM if anyone was wondering). So needless to say I didn't get much sleep last night but I'll be back to regular blogging tomorrow.

outfit of the day... kind of
I had a job interview today and decided to take some pictures on my way back home
Gasp! She wore jeans to a job interview! Haha it's probably the no. 1 don't when it comes to dressing for a job interview but it turned out just fine since even the interviewer was wearing jeans. The jeans were accompanied by the white silky Zara shirt I just blogged about as well as the navy Zara gathered sleeve blazer I bought a few weeks ago.
The coat that you can see a glimpse of is a quilted coat by Barbour.
My trusted Zara tote got the important task of holding all of my bits and bobs
As far as jewelry goes I kept it simple and only wore my favorite MK watch
Zara white silk top
Here's what I got the other day from Zara... not really that exciting cause it's only a white top. Anyway I really like it because it has a very silky feel to it (in other words 100% polyester) so it's a perfect alternative to the everyday cotton t-shirt.
The top is in a size L which doesn't really bother me that much since it's supposed to fit loosely. Of some reason the Zara stores here in Helsinki always seem to run out of S and M and then never really restock.
(sorry the photos turned out really grey, no amount of light exposure or brightness adjustment could fix it)

Pastel Perfection
Pastel heels by Din Sko, a great way to incorporate this summers pastel trend in your outfits, especially if you aren't feeling terribly daring. Oh and the best part, they're only 34,90€

Weekend shopping
I went downtown today as I was in desperate need for some Boot Buffer for my Hunter wellies, which I'll do a post on later.
Stopped by Zara and tried on some lovely summer dresses
Left these two beauties at the store but I did end up getting a white silky t-shirt which I'll post some pictures of later.
Picked up the rice and wheat volumizing shampoo from Kiehl's and got a whole bunch of samples including olive fruit oil conditioner, ultra facial cream and midnight recovery concentrate.

Nike running tights
Not wanting my motivation to dwindle I bought myself some new workout gear the other day. I've never really been the one for heavy sweatpants I just feel like they weigh me down. Plus they become really uncomfortable once you start to sweat as they don't breathe whatsoever.
So here are my new Nike running tights! They are full length and come with all the standard features, drawstring, zip pocket in back, zippers as well as reflectors on each leg etc. One thing to keep in mind with Nike is that besides the size of the pants (mine are M) they also have three different leg lengths (short, regular, tall)

For the love of the loafer
My love for the loafer goes way back. Ballerinas might be incredibly comfortable but the lack of structure and support make my wide flat feet (it doesn't get much worse than that) tire rather quickly.
These guys make some of the coolest loafers I've seen in both velvet and linen. Oh and if you can't find one that's just right you can customize your own.
Two of my favorites, both in a simple neutral color
But at $400 a pop, I quickly bid farewell to these babies...
Not to worry! my heart does not go aching for too long

Zara messenger bag strap
Some of you have been wondering about the strap on my new Zara bag. In my previous post I actually forgot to tell you that I'd shortened it.
This is what the bag looked like when I bought it. Even though I did like the long messenger style strap I wanted something shorter.
Open the buckle...
and simply move it over to the other side.
Obviously you don't want the other end of the strap hanging out so all you have to do is...
Tuck it through to loop and into the bag and VOILA!
And for anyone who was wondering, at its longest the strap measures at about 100 cm (about 40 inches for you kids across the pond)
3 snaps
Nice and early wake up today only to discover that it has snowed over night
Time to hit the gym! My friend and I've made a deal to get into shape before graduation. It's a lot easier to stay motivated when you workout with a friend.
Bought some pastrami/pasta salad for lunch and I'm now sitting at home browsing my favorite blogs
