ACNICYL REVIEW

So it has now been over 6 weeks since I started using Acnicyl and since many of you apparently are curious about it I've decided to do a complete review on it.
Keep in mind: These are my own thoughts and opinions! Everyones skin is different and what works for me might not work for you. Also it depends on how bad your acne is when you start and how consistent you are through out the treatment.
For who? I would recommend Acnicyl if your acne is mild to medium. Personally I suffer from blackheads on the nose and some whiteheads, I really don't get the big red ones that hurt really bad. You can use Acnicyl no matter what skin type you have, I have dry skin especially around the nose and just between my eyebrows (I still tend to get a bit oily during the day).
The treatment process: You are supposed to use both the cleanser and the cream for 6 weeks, in the morning and in the evening and after that whenever needed. As I already told you in my other post I did so for about a week until I switched to washing my face only in the evening. This might mean that it will take a while longer for you to see big results but if you have very sensitive skin and it starts to feel irritated I recommend to only use it once a day. According to the product description you can combine it with other products such as moisturizers BUT it should not be combined with products that have AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) or lactic acids in it.
The products: The cleanser comes in a 100 ml packaging and for the 6 week treatment I guess you will use about 2 bottles of it depending on how much you use and if you wash once or twice a day. The cleanser will remove makeup just fine and while using Acnicyl I didn't use any other makeup removers. The product is not suitable for eye makeup removing so for my eyes I just used a mild cleanser. I love the consistency of the cleanser because it's gel like which means that it's nice and refreshing, a big plus was that it wasn't oily at all and therefore not difficult to remove.
The cream comes in a 30 ml packaging. I applied it once a day and I've now been using it for more then 6 weeks and I still haven't finished my first tube which is quite surprising since I use quite a lot of it. I applied the cream on my chin, my nose, the area around my nose and to my temples. On the rest of my face I used the dramatically different moisturizing lotion by Clinique. The cream was nice and hydrating but a bit sticky which was fine since I only used it in the evening right before I went to bed.
Results/conclusion: I'm really happy with the product, best results so far out of all the acne products I've tried. I still have some things here and there and every now and then my skin seems to get worse but then it gets better again after a few days. One thing that has improved a lot is the redness, my face tends to get really red every time I wash it but now it just turns a bit pink which is a huge improvement for me. I'm going to continue using both the cleanser and the cream for a while and see how it goes. I recommend this to everyone who wants to get rid of acne and hey if it doesn't work it won't be a huge loss because the products are quite affordable.

  2. That sounds great :D. I'm always on the look-out for a new (and cheap) cleanser, hehe. I've tried a few cheap cleansers, but they haven't really impressed me, so I hope Acnicyl will :).
